 Position summary:

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Chief Nursing Officer to join our team. The Chief Nursing Officer will be responsible for overseeing all nursing operations within the organization, including staffing, quality assurance, patient care, and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nursing leadership, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

 Responsibilities:

• Maintain high quality standards while inspiring the nursing team to uphold the best patient care practices.
• Monitor and assess the quality of patient care.
• Manage diverse relationships with board members, physicians, employee groups and the local communities and collaborate with members of the executive team to meet organizational goals.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
• Develop and implement nursing policies and procedures.

 Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing or an equivalent postgraduate degree.
• Good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
• 3+ years of experience in nursing leadership.
• Strong understanding of healthcare regulations and standards.
• Knowledge of the acute healthcare setting, healthcare management methods and nursing management practices.
• Communicate effectively in French and in English as Hôpital Notre-Dame Hospital (Hearst) is designated under the French Language Services Act.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
